University of Horticultural Sciences, UHS, Applications are invited in the prescribed form for filling up the following posts of Teachers & Service Personnel from the candidates who are qualified as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications in the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot. Government Order No. 341/2008 Bangalore. I. TEACHING POSTS:A. PROFESSOR CADRE: No of Post: 02 posts (SC-1, GM-1), Scale of pay: Rs. 16400 to 22400/-, Essential Qualification: A Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject.B. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR CADRE: No of Post: 17 posts, Pay Scale: Rs. 12000 to 18300/, Essential Qualification: A Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject.C. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN: No of Post: 98 posts/05 posts, Pay Scale: Rs. 8000 to 13500/-, Essential Qualification: Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or, an equivalent grade, National Eligibility Test (NET) in the concerned/related subject for Assistant Professor post conducted by the ASRB/UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the ICAR / ICMR / NCERT /UGC / CSIR (Equivalent exam for Basic Science candidates).
II. SERVICE PERSONNEL POSTS:a. Assistant Registrar/Assistant Administrative Officer: No of Post: 07 posts (SC-1, ST-1, I-1, IIA-1, GM-3 (W-1, RL-1), Scale of pay: Rs. 14050 to 25050/-, Essential Qualification: A degree of a recognized University. Must have experience of not less than 8 years in a responsible administrative position in managing an office of Govt.b. Assistant Comptroller: No of Post: 03 posts (SC-1, ST-1, GM-1) Scale of pay : Rs. 14050 to 25050/-, Essential Qualification: A degree of a recognized University. passed SAS Examination of a State or Central Govt.c. Assistant Engineer (Civil): No of Post: 02 posts (SC-1, GM-1) Scale of pay: Rs.11400 to 21600/-, Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering of a recognized University. Must pass Accounts Higher and Gen Law Part I&II and PWD Dept. Examination Higher before declaration of probation.d. Junior Engineer (Civil): No of Post: 01 post – SC-1, Scale of pay: Rs. 10800 to 20025/-, Essential Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering of 3 years duration from a recognized Polytechnic Institution. Must pass Accounts Higher before declaration of Probation.e. Stenographer: No of Post: 03 posts (SC-1, ST-1, GM-1) Scale of pay: Rs. 10000 to 18150/-, Essential Qualification: A degree of a recognized University. Must have passed Senior Typewriting in English and Kannada & Senior Shorthand examination in English and Kannada conducted by the Board of Commercial. Examination, Govt. of Karnataka. Must have good command in English and Kannada.f. Assistant cum Computer Operator: No of Post: 38 posts (SC-6 (W-2, RL-2, PH-1), ST-1, I-2 (W-1), IIA-6 (W-2, RL-2, PH-1), IIB-2 (W-1), IIIA-1, IIIB-1, GM-19 (W-6, RL-5, EXS-2, PH-1, KM-1, PDP-1) Scale of pay: Rs. 8000 to 14800/-, Essential Qualification: Must possess a degree of recognized University. Experience in data computation work and experience in data compilation / computer course is desirable.g. Junior Technician (Electrical): No of Post: 01 post – SC-1, Scale of pay: Rs. 8000 to 14800/-, Essential Qualification: Must have passed SSLC. Must have passed Certificate Course of not less than 2 years duration in ITI (Electrical). Must have experience of not less than 2 years in concerned field from a Govt./Statutory Body.
Age Limit: The minimum and maximum age limit prescribed for the posts of Service Personnel is 18 years and 40 years, as on the last date prescribed for receipt of filled in applications.
