Union Public Service Commission, UPSC, Advertisement No. 20/09, UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 12.11.2009 and 19.11.2009 for the candidates from far flung areas, for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments: I. Quarantine Officers : No of Post : 02 posts in Animal Quarantine Certification Services, Ministry of Agriculture, Essential Qualification & Experience : A recognised Veterinary Degree OR Post-Graduate/Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science in Bacteriology or Medicine or Pathology or Parasitology or Virology of a recognized University or equivalent. Three years’ laboratory experience in animal diseases, investigation and their control. Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Rs. 5400 Grade pay. Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.II. Curator : No of Post : 01 post in NDA, Ministry of Defence, Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Archaeology or History of a recognized University. About two years’ practical experience in a museum. Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 + Rs. 4200 Grade pay. Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.III. Chemist : No of Post : 01 post in Indian Bureau of Mines, ministry of Mines, Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institution or equivalent. Three years’ experience in chemical analysis of different ores and Minerals. Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Rs. 5400 Grade pay. Age Limit : Not exceeding 38 years.IV. Assistant Ore Dressing Officers : No of Post : 01 post in Indian Bureau of Mines, ministry of Mines, Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Mining Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology or Metallurgy from a recognized University or Institution or its equivalent OR Master’s degree in Geology or Ore Dressing or Chemistry or Physics from a recognized University or Institution. Three years’ experience in well equipped laboratory. Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Rs. 5400 Grade pay. Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
