Gujarat Maritime Board, GMB, Applications are invited for Marine Engineer & Safety officer on contract basis for period of 3 years for this posts: I. Safety Officer :No of Post : 12 posts,Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs. 9300 to 34800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-,Age Limit : Should not be more than 30 years.Essential Qualification & Experience : Possess a diploma in any branch of Engineering/Technology or a BSc degree in Physics or Chemistry and has a practical experience of working in any factories in a supervisory capacity for a period of not less than three years.
II. Marine Engineer :No of Post : 02 posts, Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay – 7600/-,Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years.Essential Qualification & Experience : (a) First Class Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (Steam and Motor) OR (b) M.Sc. Degree in maritime Affairs or its equivalent degree awarded by a recognized university including World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden. (c) Extra First Class Engineers certificate of Competency, Experince 8 years of service at sea of which one year must have been as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer.
